Three projects in one post!

This weekend I decided to photograph some sewing projects I made during the last months to catch up with my blog. I show you three garments, all of them made with Grainline studio patterns.

These are the second maritime shorts I have made (you can see here the first one). My intention was to made them last summer, but the fabric didn't arrived on time... So, the first days of sun we had in Barcelona I decided to made them for wearing as much as possible in the summer time.

I could say it's a wearable muslin. The problem is that the fabric I used is too warm, so the shirt will be waiting in my closet for a few months. But I was thinking to make a sleeveless version for summer with an appropriate fabric.

I sewed this skirt a few months ago but it wasn't blogged before... The fabric it's a micro-corduroy, perfect for spring and fall with tights and boots.

I have more time to sew these days, so I am planning to make a few garments more for summer, we will see if I can get it!
See you soon

I *LOVE* your shorts, skirt and shirt ...
They look like they came out of a store ... I know you've got the fabric for the archer from cottonholic at etsy, may I ask which of the plaid fabric is it? I'm thinking of making a plaid shirt but I'm a very beginner at sewing, I don't know if I'm able to do it or not, with the shirt, plaid matching etc ... But I *love* your shirt and the fabric you chose!!!

    1. Thanks Melanie! Yes, you are right, the fabric I used is from cottonholic, and you have the information about it here:

If you want to sew Archer shirt, I recommend you to follow the "Sew along" in Grainline studio blog. What I did for plaid matching in the front and sleeves was cuttting the pieces separately, not with fabric folded, to be sure one was exactly the same as the other. You should try, it's the best way to learn!

    1. Thank you DIxie! After years of sewing I realized it's really important to make muslins, choose the right fabric and sewing with patient if you want your garment stay wearable long time...
